Hopefully, if you followed this fully, you can now play both game without issue. These games must always be run in windowed mode, to work with not crash/ black screen, but by setting resolution of game window to the same as your desktop, as described in STEP 1, you never seen the window and it looks the same as in full screen mode. You must ONLY carry out STEP 2 onwards as described, DO NOT verify Integrity of game cache for the World in conflict Soviet Assault, as this will again damge the original World in Conflict installed files and stop them working When World in Conflict Soviet assault is installed it overwrites files in the World in Conflict game installation, stopping both games working. If you do this procedure after only having World in Conflict installed, then install the World in Conflict Soviet assault, you need to repeat process from STEP 2. NOTES - (for people who see the error 53 message or black screen crash) It should find a couple of files (mine had 9), that are in need of replacement. Now double left click on World in conflict Soviet assault and game should start ok. I know it's fashionable and trendy to hop on the internet and start "murica" bashing but after a certain point it just gets to be stupid. There's plenty of titles out there with different possible endings, and endings where America does not "win." Stop with your bullcrap. I think you're just butthurt over stupid things. LOL after all these years and no sequel, and if there is going to have one, America will win again. This game has one of the best story of an RTS game, can't wait for the next one. The war is pretty much going in Europe yet, and a lot of s* will happen before it's over. In the "end" of this one, all it happen is the soviets retreated from USA, and lieutenant Parker stand by awaiting new orders. Although I agree that it would be nice to have multiple ending according to the players choice, the game is not over yet, it will have a sequel, world in conflict 2. No, there is just one end so, of course the americans will always win since this is the only ending.
